The 10,000 Hours Show was founded by students at the University of Iowa in the fall of 2002. These students and their peers developed the program through the James Gang, an Iowa City community-building nonprofit. Seeking to create a fun way to encourage volunteerism and recognize students making a difference, the first of many successful 10K projects began. Today, independent and locally organized 10,000 Hours projects operate in multiple communities and campuses accross the nation. To learn more about 10K and the work of the United Way in promoting and sponsoring community service, please contact the United Way of America. The first project of its kind in the North West, 10K has officially made its way to MSU. By partnering with the Greater Gallatin United Way and the MSU Office for Community Involvement, we hope to demonstrate how student volunteerism can benefit the Bozeman community. Join us as we work to make 2009-2010 the first of many successful years with 10K MSU! Register Today!
